Description
The Sanskrit word Shirodhara is a combination of two words, ‘Shiro’ means head, and ‘Dhara’ means stream or flow. For thousands of years, Shirodhara has been used as one of the ayurvedic treatment modalities where a slow and steady stream of specific types of warm fluid is poured on the forehead. The types of fluid are chosen according to the targeted disease condition, but medicated oils are most commonly used.
Shirodhara has a very relaxing and soothing effect on the body and mind. It is a powerful therapy to induce mental, emotional, psychological, and physical balance. It is potentially beneficial for stress, anxiety, insomnia, hair loss, anger, depression, PTSD, migraine, mental exhaustion, toxic condition, doshic balance, etc. It removes pranic blockages, awakens intuition, and brings spiritual benefits.
It is offered as a stand-alone therapy and in a package, called Bliss Therapy, with a whole-body massage and herbal steam.
